Usually a pretty decent shop but I lost some respect for them today. Evidently flushing and bleeding the brake system on a 1972 Chevy truck is "outside the scope of their ability". I don't have the lift and a flush system at home to make this an easy job, so I thought it would be convenient to have it done. The local Chevy dealership estimated $250, so I knew it couldn't be that hard. All in all, it wasn't a difficult job. Just took longer and was a bit messier than I had hoped. Guess I'm more capable than this shop.

This shop is the biggest joke! They saw a female walk in the door and thought I had less knowledge on cars and that they could take advantage of it. I dropped my car off to be inspected after just having a lot of work done on it. They called and told me that my parking break wasn't holding enough to pass it. When I asked how much it would be to fix it they told me that it was 116 to diagnose the problem. After finding what was wrong they told me it would be a 930 dollar minimum to fix it! The parts would only cost 200 in total. I found another person to do the work for much cheaper that was shocked at their estimate.
I was having a rough morning and brought my car in for a state inspection. As soon as I walked in the main office, I was warmly greeted by the two young ladies at the front desk. Though I was told it would be a four hour wait for the inspection, I was offered a ride home and back when my car was ready. The whole experience went smoothly and really made my day much better. Great people!
